What to Know When Migrating Linux to Power
An emerging trend has seen customers increasingly looking at Linux to gain more flexibility and reduce cost. In addition, with the latest IBM POWER8 processor, Power Systems servers now integrate into virtually any infrastructure running Linux with minimal interruptions. 

A recent article in the IBM Systems Magazine showcased statistics from an IDC study indicating that moving to Linux on IBM Power servers resulted in a 14% increase in user productivity and a 60% decrease in infrastructure cost. It also outlines some easy-to-grasp best practices to make the transition as seamless as possible.
